That is about what I felt last summer … it was pretty much average.

How come the BOM temperature record is so different to satellite measurements?

And screaming about the hottest summer ever is a bit much when the actual average temperature difference between the hottest and coldest summers is less than 2 degrees. There is a bigger difference in temperature on a stinking hot, dry summer day if you move from full sun to full shade, especially if that shade is under trees.
