Mr Shorten should keep in mind that the way forward is for all faiths to accept all other faiths, and I am not just referring to Catholics and Protestants. Even back then at least all the protestants were pretty much on the same page, and in most areas Protestant kids like me could go to the Catholic school for music lessons, and played sport with the Catholics on the weekend. Christians had stopped killing each other a long time before Mrs Shorten didn’t get a job because of her brand of faith. Muslims cannot even accept each other so they are a long way off accepting infidels. In case you haven’t noticed, Muslims around the world are killing Christians, Catholics and Protestants, and other Muslims … a long way behind the Christians in accepting other faiths. Others are being killed because of their job, their heritage, or just because they are selected randomly.
