I was involved in bringing computers to stock control in a very large manufacturing company. In the early 1970’s. At a huge cost we ran both manual and computor systems together for over 2 years until it was proved that the computer systems could do the job without bringing the assembly lines to a halt. This is the real world. You don’t destroy a system that works and rely on another that may take another decade or more to carry the weight.
