Hazelwood’s closure will also raise prices in NSW and Qld, as now Vic and Tas and SA will rely on primarily NSW coal fire stations to make up the short falls in their own power supplies. Prices are expected to rise between 10 and 25%.
The SA premier has claimed that he has made South Australia “independent”. Presumably then he no longer requires vast amounts of our electricity OR our money!? The same must be said for Victoria. Simply cut off electricity supplies from other states. We must stop rewarding governments for their ideological policies which are known not to work. When they do not work, we should not prop them up or help them until they attempt to help themselves.
If mr weatherdill blows the windmills instead of wasting his breath in front of cameras and in parliament, then maybe we would be independent.
