Yeah,

I had to go out not long after that earlier comment, but hey, watch here how, contrary to what you are being told, this battery actually INCREASES the price of electricity.

The battery has to be charged first, and here, it is being charged by the output from this wind plant.

So, however many hours it takes to charge, it all depends upon the capacity of the battery, and they quote that as 129MWH, so here we have an input of 129MWH total to fully charge the battery, and that’s if, if, if, it can be charged at 100% efficiency, (stop laughing Tony, how many time must you be told) then that’s 129MWH.

So, when they sell that power back to the grid, they have to recover that original 129MWH of the cost of the wind power to charge it in the first place, and that wind power cost is already way higher than coal fired power cost, no matter what the talking heads tell you.

Then, on top of that cost, they have to add on the cost of recovery for the original outlay for the battery, calculated at a cost per MWH.

Then, on top of that, they have to recover the cost of maintenance and wages etc, also calculated at that cost per MWH rate.

Then, on top of that, they have to recover the cost for the profit for the Company, also calculated at the cost per MWH.

When it comes time to sell that power back to the grid, they will ask for the cost of all these factors included.

Keep in mind, all they will get is one hour at the full discharge rate, 129MWH, or two hours at half the discharge rate, either way, all they will get is 129MWH at the highest cost they can get away with.

It will spike the instantaneous cost of electricity, and then settle down immediately to the new higher cost for wholesale power.

Whichever way they go, this has ….. INCREASED the cost of electricity, all passed down directly to all consumers.

Even though it’s only for an hour or two, the electricity would have been cheaper if it had only been the output directly from the wind plant in the first place, or higher than the cost of any other form of power generation.

And you wonder why I laugh.

This is a c0n of the first order.

What an absolute joke.

This is not NEW power.

It is second hand power recycled from a cheaper source, and that’s if it is 100% efficient, which it ‘aint.

Tony.
